Quoting cause I found that funny. I know it's not what you meant, but still.
I like to play the game...but, yeah, I like to get my Barbie on, too. I'm careful not to mention that aspect of the game to my friends...but my 3yo daughter is appreciative.

FRIEND:
[looking over shoulder]
Hey, that's a cool game.
EUGAET:
Yeah, it's Guild Wars. You should play.
FRIEND:
So you're, what, running around killing things right now? Are you doing a quest or something?
EUGAET:
No, right now I'm just farming.
FRIEND:
Farming?
EUGAET:
Yeah, I need 60K gold plus materials to get Grotto armor for my warrior.
FRIEND:
Wow, that's a lot of gold. So it must give better stats than what you've got, right?
EUGAET:
Uh, no, it has the same stats, it just looks better.
FRIEND:
Same stats? How much did your current set of armor cost?
EUGAET:
7.5K gold plus materials.
FRIEND:
...
EUGAET:
[playing Guild Wars]
FRIEND:
Does your wife know you play with dolls?
EUGAET:
What? No, you don't underst...
FRIEND:
And why are all your characters female?

I think anything that increases the social interaction and community spirit of this game is a good thing. It's not all rushing through the game as fast as possible or pvp, you know. Asheron's Call 2 may have had many, many, many, many problems but the way it dealt with musical instruments was sheer class.

Who says that it has to be an inventory item?
Buy an instrument, have it appear if/when you use the corresponding emotes.

Yeah, I have to agree whole-heartedly with instruments. I mean, those band videos will be so much more amazing with your /guitars actually being ... guitars.

Alittle off subject but it would be cool to see equiped weapons in the towns. What is the point of having "phat lootz" if no one out side of an 8 man party can see your stuff equiped.
I would also like the ability to click on another person and see what they have on. (i.e. it tells you the stats and such)

Here lies the extinction of the "air guitar" (and the air instruments generation). R.I.P. ---NOOoooo.

The way it should work is that, if a character has purchased town clothes, the clothes appear when one is in town, and the character's armor appears when one has left town. No inventory slots, just buy a pair of slacks and have them show up when you enter an area. Same with instruments - buy a guitar, and /guitar shows the guitar.
Of course, would seriously cut down on the purchasing of 15K and Fissure armor, since one's armor would only display in the field. Anet probably wouldn't like that, logical and fun as it'd be.

I agree with the dude who wanted /chair. I mean, we can call down the fiery wrath of the gods, but the best we can only sit on the ground???
Also, in town... how about letting us be able to walk. Heck... EVERYWHERE, how about letting us be able to walk.

netter yet have different response from npc charactors with the different types of clothing you are wearing.
lets say you have armor on you get response from npc than you wearing a town clothing. this could be added for quest to as well.

Hmmm, while you could argue on its usefullness, there is some logic in it.
An NPC might be more willing to talk to a regular person then some huge intimidating guy in full armor.

I just want to know what it's going to be like. And if the instruments will be realistic, as in you can hear the music you're playing.. that would be neat.

I think having it like armor is better. I mean I may want to wear my armor in town instead of civilian clothes.

I think it will be emotes for the instruments like our current /violin etc. And the clothing adds another aspect to the game, I wouldnt mind but it isnt really needed. Add some more weapon skins or something instead of that is what I would like.
